Neuro-Linguistic Programming

What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming Sessions in GlasgowNeuro-Linguistic Programming began in the mid-1970’s in America with the work of John Grinder, a professor of linguistics and Richard Bandler, a psychologist. Grinder and Bandler began by studying excellent communicators, building models of communication skills. The methods studied could then be taught to others so they too could achieve the same results. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is simply how to use the language of the mind to consistently achieve our specified and desired outcomes.

This covers the three most influential parts of producing human experience – neurology, language, and programming. These three regulate how our bodies function, how we communicate with others and the individual world models we create.

How does the process work?

The NLP process provides tools and skills to help with personal development. It is about self-discovery, exploring identity, and it helps establish a system of empowering beliefs. It’s a way of enriching the choices we have or see as available in the world around us

Excellence comes from having many choices available to us – wisdom comes from having many perspectives on those choices, and how we decide to act on them.
