What is Time-Based Techniques – TBT?
Time-Based Techniques is the perfect tool for dealing with previous trauma and unresolved issues from the past that still impact on a person’s present-day life. It is a specific process which allows the client to release negative emotions, eliminate limiting decisions and to congruently create a positive future for him/herself. It has close links to Time Line Therapy with the time line being where we store our memories of the past, the present and the future. Each person’s time line is metaphorically unique to that person.
Time-Based Techniques may be a limitation for some people who don’t find it easy to visualise time lines or who access crucial moments through words only. This technique has been designed for those among us who do not access chained memories easily, either emotionally or visually. People who do not have past, present and future distinguished from each other can work with a specific memory in a specific location outside of a specific time point.
This is the technique that heals the inner child from the position of an adult and integrates it within one’s being.
